Himalayan Aviary, also referred to as the Himalayan Bird Park, is located in proximity to the famous Viceregal Lodge in Shimla. A visual treat for ornithologists, the park is inhabited by varied avian species, both indigenous and exotic.

Pheasants, peafowl, peacock and Himalayan monal (the national bird of Nepal) can be seen in all their wilderness in this aviary. Populated by rare plants and trees, this place is a perfect place for nature lovers, as well.

Perched around 2213 metres above the sea level, the aviary offers spectacular views of the surrounding forest-covered hills. The best time to visit this place is during summers as the weather is pleasant, unlike winters – when it snows.
