Surrounding the medieval city of Pisa, the walls of Pisa have become a major attraction for visitors across the globe. Standing tall at a length of 11 metres (with 2 metres beneath the ground), these historic walls of Pisa are made from the composition of different materials including grey limestone of San Giuliano Terme and Livorno.

You can see famous attractions like the Santa Maria, the Lion tower and the tower of St. Agnes and walk up till 2 kilometres to view the entire structure in one visit. The recent restoration by the government has offered a unique way to visitors to be able to see the city of Pisa like never before, away from the routine gondolas. While it is assumed that the complete construction will be completed by 2014, this is something we suggest you check before planning your trip.
