Bibliophiles Rejoice! The central library of the state of Victoria boasts of a whopping collection of over 2.5 million books and 16,000 serials. The State Library of Victoria was established in the year 1856, and features an extensive lawn area around its octagonal structure.

The interiors of the library feature a reading room and dome, a chess room and a library with collections of arts, music etc. Apart from the reading material, the library is also popular for its events which include talks, workshops and exhibitions.
