"Sprawling over an area of 1150 sq km as buffer zone and 675 sq km as core zone, Pin Valley National Park is a part of the Great Himalayan National Park Conservation Area. Established in 1987, this national park is perched at varying altitudes that range between 3500 and 6000 m above the plains in the cold desert area of Himachal Pradesh.

A gem of an attraction- Pin Valley National Park is bestowed with an amazing assortment flora and fauna. Out of the many animal species in the park, it is specially known for the conservation of the endangered Snow-Leopard. Other rare animal and bird species found here are Red Fox, Marten, Weasel, Pika, Himalayan Snow Cock, Chukor, Golden Eagle, Griffon, Chough and Raven.

Even though its high altitude and cold climate do not support dense vegetation, the park features around 400 plant species. Pin Valley National Park is populated with numerous medicinal herbs and spices that make it a valuable land for pharmacists.
