"Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa is one of Manali's finest attractions. Although small, the spiritual energy exuded from here is boundless. Built in 1960 by Tibetan refugees, this renowned Buddhist monastery attracts countless tourists from all corners of India. The monastery flaunts a majestic façade that is complemented with the pagoda-style yellow roof. Inside the gompa, you will find a large image of Buddha and exquisite murals that illustrate Buddha's non-violent philosophy.

Within the complex, there are several small shops where you can buy unique Tibetan handicrafts and carpets. It is from the sale of these products and donations from Samaritans that the routine activities of the shrine take place."
