Kovalam is a beautiful beach side holiday destination which can be visited all year round. Here is a month wise break-up of the weather in Kovalam to help you plan your trip better:

November to February: The winter season is by far the best time to visit Kovalam as the temperature is moderate and conducive for sightseeing, beach hopping, or honeymooning. The minimum temperature during this time of the year is 16 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature goes up to 34 degrees Celsius.

March to May: The beginning of summer in Kovalam is marked by a sharp drop in the number of tourists. The maximum temperature during this time of the year is 37 degrees, but don’t be disappointed by the heat as this is a great time to get a great deal on room rates in hotels. Since Kovalam is less crowded during the summer, this is a good time to enjoy this beach town at an unhurried pace. Make sure you carry light cotton clothes and sunscreen along to avoid sunburn.

June to August: June marks the beginning of monsoons in Kovalam and is a great time to witness Kovalam in its rain-washed glory. This is perfect weather to go sightseeing and enjoy the rich flora and fauna of the region. Make sure you carry an umbrella or raincoat along as rain showers are frequent.
