The Harrington Street Arts Centre is a favourite destination for art and heritage connoisseurs coming to Kolkata. This centre was established with the aim to promote and nurture the illustrative and performing arts that are integral elements of Kolkata's vibrant culture. It is affiliated to the Rajpal Khullar Memorial Trust, which is a platform devoted to classical music, dance and contemporary art.

The centre covers an area of 7500 sq ft in the erstwhile Harrington Street area, which is now known as Ho Chi Minh Sarani. Abacus Designs – a reputed architecture and design firm of Singapore and Australia – was involved in the designing of this building. Apart from spacious exhibition spaces, it has a resource centre and library, where visitors can gather useful information about various arts. The centre organises several events like film screenings, memorial lectures, children workshops and book launches, which encourage visual and performing arts of India. The hStreet Café is among the highlights of this art centre and serves as an ideal venue for brunch, coffee and tea.
