Kolkata's only family museum- Sabarna Sangrahashala is an interesting place to visit. Established by the Sabarna Roy Choudhury Paribar Parishad in 2005, this museum has become a prominent place of education for history buffs, students and research associates. For anyone interested in learning about the glorious past of Kolkata and the unique Bengali Society, this place is a must-visit! Besides the museum, Sabarna Sangrahashala houses a library stocked with many books and a reading room.

Rare articles, maps and documents, which are in hundreds, are the proud possessions of the museum. The historical Lease Deed of 1698 that portrays the Right to rent of Sutanuti, Kalikatah and Govindapur villages is also preserved here. You can have a glimpse of old Kabulati Patras, coins and postal stamps that are put on display at the museum. History talks here – do pay a visit!
