Rabindra Bharati University Museum, located within the premises of Jorasanko Thakur Bari (Tagore House), provides a fascinating glimpse into the inspiring life and works of Rabindranath Tagore. Its highlights are the original paintings, photographs, manuscripts and other records of the Bengali polymath and his family. The collection includes 716 paintings, 208 personalia, 168 utensils, 89 spools, and 27 crafts and sculptures. In addition to these, there is an incredible collection of 2,701 books, 3746 archival documents, 3297 photographs and 770 collections of journals at the museum.

India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru established this museum, which covers a floor area of approximately 3000 sq ft. At present, this museum is an integral part of the Rabindra Bharati University. Do not forget to attend the exclusive 40-minute light and sound show that is organised in the evening at the museum.
