A venture of West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency (WBREDA), the Energy Education Park is a unique establishment that attracts many students and tourists every year. The primary objective behind setting up the park was to bring awareness among people about the use of renewable technologies and resources to meet the energy crisis. Spanning across an area of 1.5 acres, this park was built with a nominal amount of just Rs. 85 lacs.

Among the many interesting exhibits are Solar Car, Global Energy Network, Model Tidal Power Plant, Reduce Your Electricity Bill, Solar Restaurant, Solar Hut and Glasifier Power Plant. Recently, a special 'Landing on the Mars' show has been introduced that draws the attention of many visitors. You will be amazed to know that this park is run by a group of 12 differently-abled people.

    For kids, the Energy Education Park is an ideal place to visit. The exhibits found here give visitors knowledge about alternative energy sources. The functioning of Wood Fired Generator, Solar Hut and Solar Restaurant are bound to amaze kids.
