Raj Ranchhodji Temple, located about 3.5 km away from the city centre, is one of the must-visit shrines in Jodhpur. Queen Jadechi Rajkanwar built this temple in 1905 in the memory of her husband – Maharaja Jaswant Singh. It is believed that since her childhood, the queen was a devotee of Lord Krishna. When she got married, she carried with her an idol of Lord Krishna to Jodhpur.

Inside the shrine is a beautiful black marble statue of Lord Krishna. Made of red sandstone, this temple is adorned with beautiful filigree work on its walls. These red stones have lovely sculptures drawn by the artists from the bygone era. The shrine also features glass windows in various colours like yellow, green and blue, which enhance its overall appeal.
