Chokelao Bagh, within the premises of the Mehrangarh Fort, was constructed by Maharaja Abhai Singh in 1739. In the year 1844, Maharaja Takht Singh made a few changes so that he could spend some leisure time amidst natural beauty. An interesting fact about this garden is that many of the plants here can survive long without regular watering. Visitors can see desert apple, banana, orange and pomegranate, among others, which fill the air with fruitful fragrance.

Colourful flowers on the upper terrace of the garden appear as an intricately designed garland. The Mehtab Garden (also known as the Moonlight Garden) on the lower level, with white Chandani(Tabernaemontana coronaria) flowers, looks mesmerising at night. The sweet smell of the beautiful Kamini (Maurya exotia) flowers spreads across the garden.

At present, there is an on-site restaurant where visitors can savour delicious delicacies while admiring the magnificent view of this lovely garden.
