RKCS Art Gallery is among those few notable places in Imphal, where you get to witness different facets of the state of Manipur through beautiful paintings. Founded in 1990 by the legendary artist Rajkumar Chandrajitsana Singh (RKCS), it has been operating as a full-fledged gallery since 2003.

RKCS was a renowned artist of the state who created over 10,000 paintings on varied subjects, including mythology, history and culture. His paintings have received accolades from art lovers across the globe. Visitors can admire paintings on various concepts like Phunga Waris, Maibi Jagoi, Ras Leela, Kabui Girls, Ema Keithel and Khamba Thoibi; each of which is a visual delight.

You will be amazed to know that Rajkumar Chandrajitsana Singh holds the national record for the largest exhibit by a single artist. He earned this feat for his 1990 Historical Paintings Exhibition at Imphal. This exhibit was backed by the Manipur State Kala Academy that also honoured him with the ‘Fellow’ title. For the largest exhibit, his name was incorporated in the Limca Book of Records in 1994.
