You can never fall short of places to visit while you are in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Railway Museum is another unique attraction that you must cover. This open-air museum is located in the former Tai Po railway station and was built in 1913. However, it was given the status of a museum only in 1985 when it was refurbished.

A steam locomotive dating back to 1911 welcomes you here. Further, there are many exhibits on the history of railways in Hong Kong. Some of them are interesting photographs, antique coaches, railway track samples and life-sized models of train compartments.
