The Vashishtha Temple is an integral part of the Vashishtha Ashram nestled in the scenic Sandhychal hills. The building of the temple was commissioned by the Ahom King, Raja Rajeswara. Apart from being an important pilgrimage center, the place also offers peace, serenity and scenic views. The Vashishtha temple is located at the confluence of three rivulets- Sandhya, Kanta and Lalita. Lagend has it that a dip in the holy waters of the confluence washes away the sins of the sinners and grants long life.
