18th June Road is one of the busiest roads of Panaji. It is located in the heart of the city and is a major attraction for all tourists. Majorly all the restaurants and shopping complexes are located on this road only. It is known as 18th June Road to mark Dr Ram Manohar Lohia’s visit to Goa which started the freedom struggle against the Portuguese in Goa. The 18th June Road commemorates this historic ‘Goa Revolution Day’. The road was originally named Rua Herois de Dadra.
