Geneva airport is served by almost all European carriers as well as a few daily trans-Atlantic flights. Swiss International Airlines serves Geneva more frequently than any other airline and offers the best local connections, connecting Geneva with Lugano, Zurich and Bern in addition to several other European capitals.

Within the last few years, Geneva itself has become a hub for the low-cost carrier EasyJet, serving a number of destinations in Europe including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Edinburgh, London, Madrid, Manchester and Paris. Other international airlines flying into Geneva include Air France and British Airways.

By Bus

Geneva’s coach station is located close to the railway station and serves some 20 European countries, the Geneva canton and the French ski resorts.

The TPG (Transports Publics Genevois - Geneva's Public Transport system) provide regular services from the neighboring French towns of Saint-Julien, Archamps, Thoiry, Ferney-Voltaire, Moillesulaz.

By Train

The Swiss Fedral Railway called the CFF (Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses) in Geneva serves Geneva Train Station (Gare de Cornavin) with trains to and fro Neuchâtel, Bern, Basel, Zürich, St. Gallen, Luzern, Interlaken and the Valais, at least every hour or every half an hour.

Most trains arriving in the Gare de Cornavin will usually have the Geneva Airport as their final destination (if they come from elsewhere in Switzerland. Hence, you don’t have to use the TPG (Geneva Public Transport Company) tram or bus to get there.

There are several direct train services in a day from Geneva to Paris, with a journey time of three hours. Many Italian cities are connected by direct connections from Geneva to Milan (less than 4 hours) and Venice (7 hours). There is also a night train service to Florence and Rome Termini Station.

By Water

Boat: There are frequent daily arrivals by Swiss lake steamer year-round from ports all around Lake Geneva. All boats arrive at the Paquis port after docking briefly at Parc des Eaux Vives and the Jardin Anglais. You can use a Eurail Pass for the trip.
