FLIGHT

Florence is served by the Amerigo Vespucci Airport which is 5 kilometres away from the centre of the city. Only domestic and European flights operate from this airport. The Pisa Airport is the second closest to the city.

BUS

City buses in Florence are managed by the ATAF and you can buy your tickets from coffee shops, kiosks or the train station before you board the bus at the ATAF bus stops. Tickets are valid for 90 minutes and cost 1 Euro and 20 Cents. You need to validate your ticket using the validation machine upon boarding else a hefty fine of 50 Euros is charged.
