While you’re here, indulge in some dune bashing, sandboarding, quad biking and camel desert safaris. If you wish to opt for a safari in Dubai, you can pick one of the tours organized by the tour operators mentioned below. Transfers are included in all of these tours.
You can book from the hotel in advance or book directly with tour operators. Around 2-3 in the afternoon, you will be picked up from your location by an SUV. You’ll be taken to a base camp, from where the cavalcade of SUVs begin the Desert Safari. The tour starts with an adventurous dune bashing ride in the SUV, where you will go up and down steep sand dunes which rise as high as 7 storey buildings. It’s really exciting and will have you hold on to your seats for dear life! Mid-way to the desert camp, the SUV will stop for pictures. Do capture the sand dunes against the setting sun – it’s a visual delight! The SUV cavalcade will then take you to the desert camp for the remainder of the evening.

Evening: Arrive at the desert camp, to be welcomed by traditional Arabic tea, infused with cinnamon and mint. Take a short camel ride around the camp, go ATV riding (at an extra cost) or simply explore the camp. Most camps have a henna artist, a shisha corner, food and drinks which are included in the package, an Arab dress area where you can get clicked in the ethnic wear, a bar (not there during Ramadan) and more. As the sun sets, and the desert cools down, the evening entertainment begins. Watch the riveting Turkish dance performances, followed by the traditional Arabic Belly dancing. The performers make sure the acts are engaging and interactive, which make them really enjoyable. After the performances, go for a lavish dinner buffet, and try the local grilled delicacies. Many camps also have an assortment of Indian and vegetarian options.
