Established by Raja Umed Singh in 18th century, Rang Mahal was created to serve the residence of royal women. It is a perfect amalgam of British and Mughal architecture. The walls of the palace are adorned with Punjab hill style paintings narrating the stories from Lord Krishna’s life. Apart from the museum that houses many wall paintings, the palace also houses a handicraft shop which sells handmade handkerchief, woollen shawls and ethnic slippers.
