Popularly known as the Westminster Abbey of the East, St. Mary’s Church is part of the famous St. George Fort. It is one of the oldest Anglican churches and British buildings in India. Established in the year 1680, the church's architecture is worth admiring.

Today the church has a sanctuary, steeple, tower and the vestry. The rough and tough 5 feet thick walls of the church are believed to be explosion proof. Adorning the wall is a copy of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper painting and the high tower which is clearly visible. The interiors of the church have wooden and glass paintings and some ancient possessions including a 1660 AD old bible.
