The Notre Dame du Sablon Church is a beautiful church dating back to the 15th and the 16th centuries. The church was funded by the city’s guild of crossbowmen who named the church the Notre-Dame des Victoires, which meant Our Lady of Victories.

Built in the iconic Gothic architecture, with high arches and walls, the Notre Dame du Sablon Church is a must visit when in Brussels. The church is famed for its colourful stained glass windows which are lit up from the inside at night, its four fold gallery, two baroque chapels and the famous statue of St. Hubert which has an interesting history behind it. This statue was stolen from Brussels and taken to Antwerp, from where it was seized and returned to the church where it has remained till this day.
