The Brussels Centre of Comic Strip Art aims at delving into a growing form of art-the comic strip. One floor of the museum is dedicated to the art of comic creation, the genesis of a comic strip. The floor after called the “Museum of the Imaginary” analyzes the comic art of Belgian artists. It is here that you will find The Legend of Tintin and his Brussels born creator Herge. Also covered in the museum are other Belgian cartoonists such as Moor and Tillieux.

The Museum of Modern Comics on the top most floor of the museum takes visitors through a journey of the beginning of comic books in Europe to the present day.

There is also a shop in the museum where you can buy comic books (which unlike their American counterparts are hard bound and contain 60 colourful pages), t-shirts, comic figures, posters and souvenirs.

  • Opening Closing Time 10 am to 6 pm (Tuesday to Sunday). Mondays closed.

  • Entrance Fee EUR 7 (adults), EUR 3 (children under 12)
