The Bois de la Cambre is a public park near the Sonian Forest in Brussels. The park is home to a small lake which has an island in the centre called Robinson’s Island.

The foundation of the Bois de la Cambre Park was laid by German architect Edouard Keilig. The wife of then King Leopold II, Queen Marie-Henriette often went horse riding in the park. This is one of the most popular parks in Brussels and there is also an area on the park where children can ride ponies.
