The sacred Monkey forest is an experience in itself with long-tailed macaques being the major crowd pullers. This 11th century Gunung Kawi shrine, popularly known as the Sacred Monkey Forest is spread over 27 acres of land.

Located in Ubud, this place is such a contrast from the city. Thick forest, hundreds of monkeys and 3 old temples make it a unique place to visit.

You can easily spend half a day here. Walk and explore the beautiful forest. The monkeys here are usually harmless. However, if you wish to interact and play with them you must feed them.
