Van Gogh Museum is housed within two buildings: Main Building (opened in 1973) and Exhibition Wing (opened in 1999). As the name suggests, this museum has the largest collection of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings in the world. Learn about his life, works, letters and ideas and other 19th century artists as you visit the various exhibitions here. Over 200 artworks by the renowned artist Van Gogh have found a place in the permanent exhibition halls.

The multimedia tour to explore the highlights of the museum costs €5 and is highly recommended.

  • Opening Closing Time 6 January - 28 February 2014: Daily 9 am to 5 pm, Friday: 9 am to 10 pm;
    1 March -1 September 2014: Daily 9 am to 6 pm, Friday: 9 am to 10 pm;
    2 September - 26 December 2014: Daily 9 am to 5 pm, Friday: 9 am to 10 pm;
    27 December - 31 December 2014: Daily 9 am to 6 pm, Friday: 9 am to 10 pm.

    Library Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 10 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5 pm

  • Entrance Fee Adult: €15; Child (upto 17 years): free entry
