The Royal Palace of Amsterdam is an important historical site in the city. Originally used as a city hall for magistrates, today it is one of the three palaces at the King’s disposal and is often used for royal events. While the palace is open to the public throughout the year, it is closed for visiting on the days when any of the royal events are held.

The tall bell tower and cargo ship shaped gold wind vane on top of it are the highlights of any visit to the Royal Palace.
