Movie buffs are in for a treat at EYE Film Institute. Established in 1952, it houses a remarkable collection of films from across the world, covering the entire history of cinema. Expect no less than 46,000 movie titles, 35,000 posters and 45,000 stills from films at this archival gallery. What’s more, there are over 30,000 books and 1,900 periodicals for your reference too.

EYE boasts of the most exhaustive collection of Dutch films in the world and has extensive collections on silent, experimental, amateur and animation films too. You will also find a lot of mainstream cinema and art house classics here. On your way back, don’t forget to pick movie DVDs, books, film merchandise and other souvenirs from the Museum Shop.

  • Opening Closing Time Saturday – Thursday: 11 am to 6 pm; Friday: 11 am to 9 pm
    Timings for movie screenings vary.

  • Entrance Fee Regular screenings- Adult: €10; Child: €7.50 <br /> An additional €2.50 per person will be charged for 3D screenings and screenings with lectures.
