Area geography

Alleppey is located between 9.50° North Latitude and 76.33° East Longitude. It is a town in the Alappuzha District of the state of Kerala. Alleppey is dotted with beautiful lakes, rivers, lagoons, canals and of course, the backwaters. It was described as the 'Venice of East' by Lord Curzon.
