Located in Fatehpur Sikri, the Marium-uz-Zamani Palace was the home of Akbar’s wife, Mariam. The palace is renowned for its elaborate and indulgent interiors, for which Akbar is believed to have hired the best workers in India to construct. Mariam-uz-Zamani’s palace is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has rich carvings and floral motifs on the interior and exterior, which adds to its charm. Since Marium-uz-Zamani was a Hindu by birth and a devotee of Lord Krishna, her palace is also adorned with paintings of Lord Krishna.
