The Wayfarer Retreat is situated at a height of 2050 metres on a ridge overlooking the magnificent Himlayan range. The resort offers one of the most breathtaking views of the entire range and the valley around is dotted by tiny villages.
The accommodation at the resort is a mix of hill cottages constructed from stone, wood and bamboo. The 6 rooms are all tastefully furnished with attached washrooms that supply running cold water. Hot water is supplied in buckets. Outside every cottage is an enclosure for guests to sit out in deck chairs and relax. Guests can also stretch out in one of the hammocks slung across the pine trees. The resort receives electricity from its own generator.
Vijaypur Wayfarer Retreat has a separate dining and lounge area built out of stone and wood with large windows that open out into the Himalayas. The restaurant serves Indian and continental cuisine. Next to the restaurant is a bonfire pit and barbecue area which can be enjoyed after dark.
