  • Good Location But no service, ....

    Locations is very good, rooms are spacious but not at all clean. Its basically Dharamshala converted into a hotel. The food is also not very great. My three year old son ended up being super sick. Also swimming pool gets very dirty. They don't have a working plant to keep the swimming pool clean. Towels and bedsheets also didn't look the cleanest. I the suggest anyone to get their own bedsheets and towels if you are allergic to dust and stuff. Because I am super allergic. I wouldnt stay here again. But then, most of the properties in Gir are family owned and managed. Something like this only so options are limited unless you are going for chain like fern or taj which cost a lot.

    The stay at the hotel was cozy and good. Access to the hoyel is the only issue. The restaurant food quality needs improvement . Someone having personal vehicle will enjoy more . The stay was pleasant. The sports facilities and gymnasium were not fully working. The Jacuzzi was not working. Badminton Racquet was old and net was broken for few of them.

    We stayed at the resort for 2 nights in the 3rd week of December. The location - Hotel was 10-12 minutes from "Sinh Sadan", the place where you go for the jungle safari. That's a big plus. Although it was difficult to find the first time. You have to drive through a small village to get to the hotel. The direction boards are old now and may not be clearly visible in low light. The service - hotel staff was friendly and easy to talk to. They even heated up the breakfast items we got from home (which I thought they wouldn't for obvious reasons). Food served by the restaurant there was ok though. Facilities - We did not use any of the hotel facilities like swimming pool or the common lawn to play games etc. We spent most of our day outside. The Room - The room was big enough for 4 people, we got two extra beds. Ok furniture, some of it was not in great shape. The bathroom was pretty big and nice. Each room had its own water heater with good capacity. Cleanliness - Room and bathroom were clean for my standards. Although there was a lizard which they got rid off while we stepped out for dinner immediately after we checked in. We also asked them to change a couple of pillows which appeared to have dirty covers. So i'll take it as a plus since they tried to make our stay as comfortable as they could. Value for money - Great for groups which don't mind sharing a room and are going to spend most of their time outside.
