This hotel is in the midst of an old market. Not suitable for holiday. May be convenient for business travel. However the good part is that the safe is very courteous and helpful. Being a small place the restaurant menu is limited. The should have a TV in the room

It is a well restored heritage property very close to the Thanjavur palace and museum. The rooms are well decorated and have no TV. The food choices though limited were excellent and did not disappoint. Yes, it is right on the street and has no parking available. The staff was friendly and courteous and helpful in offering local information. Will surely visit again.

You need to know these before you think of booking a room in here: no TV, no parking, no unfledged restaurant, and not really a shower. Staff were courteous and responsive. It is a 100-years old building, restored and remodeled. It is on a main road, when you step out of the hotel you'll be right in the middle of traffic. Restaurant has a very limited set of options and you have to order at least 30 minutes in advance to have what you want; based on the availability of ingredients, of course. Besides all these limitations, we tried and enjoyed our stay there. The room and bed were clean. They cleaned it daily and tried to consume as low amount of resources as possible. The interiors were made with some thought and taste. You can do a bit of the shopping just by walking a few hundred meters. To find better restaurants you may have to go a little further. Overall it was a good stay and made the trip memorable.

For a hotel thats rated high on trip advisor and is part of the Dune's group, had high expectations. It's off season for sure but no reason to not keep the place clean, there was dust on the ledges and the tables and pretty much everywhere. The rooms are nice, no TV or intercom or room service, WiFi is available in room. They don't serve bottled water in the room, they fetched some for us on request. They don't have a bar. It's a pretty property, well appointed for a heritage property and cozy. Breakfast was pretty much a let down - fruit juice, fresh fruits, french toast, omelette & cereals for continental. Served in the restaurant on the terrace, with a nice view. Car parking is out on the street. Room Tip: Pick a room facing away the street, can be noisy in the early AM.
