While booking, we didn't realise the property is on a island, where you have to go by boat. We were skeptical about boat ride and thought property would be inaccessible. But we were met with pleasant surprise, Mr. sethu was waiting for us with his team on the shore, helped us with smooth check in, helped in getting food from outside, arranged wonderful shikara ride in morning. This is a great property, you will feel like you are on a boat, while not being on it. it offers great view with traffic of house boat around. Rooms are clean, with swings in verandah to enjoy the view. special note about mr. Ashkar (host), though not present physically, was in constant touch for assistance.

We visited Allepey to celebrate my birthday and our Wedding Anniversary. Cooperative owners. Seedhu and Gayathri organised all our internal travel and served us good food. Room and the ambience is par excellent. The Experience of a Canoe ride to and fro the homestay is splendid. Come immerse yourself in the Majestic Homestay.

Great location. In the morning you can see the local folks hustling to their work place in their boats, and the houseboats embarking for the day. Through the day you get to see a water highway with boats plying. in the evenings the houseboats are back with their lights creating a wonderful impression on the waters. You can watch all of this from the balcony of the property. An excellent location, facility and food. And courteous staff. Great value for money!
