The hotel is on one of the busiest streets/junctions in kolkata, so don't expect calmness. Taxi drivers can locate it easily even with language barrier. The hotel staffs are polite, respectable, helpful and friendly yet professional. The security dada is a loud headed guy but quite funny. The bearded man who brings room service is respecful, gentle and polite. Lobby and reception area is clean but you can tell that the rooms themselves are slightly undermaintained. We stayed in the executive room with two street view windows on two faces which is nice but window panes were not too clean, headboard and sofa were worn out and relatively dirty. Tables and floors were not thoroughly cleaned. But in our opinion, the room was still worth the price. Bathroom and toilet were ok but lighting can be improved. We get puri sabji or idli with tea and bananas for breakfast. But water bottle is provided only on the first day which is quite unusual. For all other days, you have to purchase your own. For chai lovers, a very popular chai wala is nearby. One thing to note is that a masjid is next to the hotel and the sound will wake you up in the morning no matter what. We came as a family from a much smaller city, so we loved the experience. If the hotel could just have a thorough cleaning of the whole room just once, the rooms would look and feel much much better. Your purpose of stay could highly affect your perception of the hotel and its location.
