A relatively newly constructed homestay in an erstwhile coffee plantation, our vacation here was just perfect. With just three rooms and two cottages, this property was a perfect mix of privacy, quiet, aesthetics, and hospitality. The owners were very helpful in guiding us to the location, while the staff is cheerfully at hand, be it driving up the steep entrance incline of the property, taking into account your meal, the gardener taking your questions about the ample and vibrant kitchen garden, the ever forthcoming old family caretaker Shahid ji helping you with travel suggestions and distances, or the earthy aesthetics so thoughtfully put together to do up the place - it was a charm.
The rooms are minimalist but warm and welcoming, while the washrooms are huge and neat. The decor seems to be inspired by traditional Tamil architectural styles.
One suggestion - the lights are too dim and are a strain, whether to play the indoor games or to read. The overhanging lights are beautiful, but there should be options to switch on stronger lights in case one wants to read or play long duration board games.
