The room was good, although the property isn't the best located in the area. Rooms are kept neat and clean, and the service is good. And staff are very hospitable. Would definitely recommend this property.

Clean and comfortable place and with a nice and helpful host. The place is walking distance from the beach so it was very convenient to get around. There were no toiletries in the bathroom but other than that it was a great stay.
Great place for stay if you are looking to roam around fort Kochi. Multiple choices for food and travel close by. Centrally located. Especially for large groups. Good clean rooms. Bunk bed fun for large groups with a large sitting area. Close to the Chinese Fishing nets which you can check out with your early morning walk.
Not located well; no food avai....

Visited Cochin for a couple of days in the month of April, 2014. I had made an online booking before my arrival to Kochi in the Rampart Homestay .It was a bit difficult to locate as it is located on a long route to Fort Kochi and amidst many of the accommodations all around to your left and right .In the end I had to get down of the bus and ask an auto to help me reach the place.
Location wise, it is some distance before the Fort Kochi and you should ideally be hiring a two wheeler for getting around .The guesthouse is very charming and calm for those who prefer to keep away from the crowd. It was very elegantly maintained so that one gets impressed by the first looks.
The caretaker, Jijo is friendly and helpful .The main drawback is, however, that there is no eating option in the guesthouse and also for some distance around, so that you keep going around for getting a cup of morning tea.
