The entire stay was fabulous right from the Check-in where we were greeted with a garland and a welcome drink to the check-out where a car was arranged as planned for our next drop. The service was prompt at all times. The servers/staff were always happy to help. The food was excellent. They gave us plenty of Jain food options. The room was amazing, with a fab view. I would completely recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxed holiday and want to be pampered.

  • A frustrating experience - wil....

    Reviewed 1 months ago

This was one of the most frustrating holidays that I have been to. The location and resort is pretty - and THATS IT. The reception is hostile and lie about every single detail. They will call you all through the week of your check in to confirm your preferences but be prepared to have none of those fulfilled at the time. Of check in. Even if you try to book the spa or a tour they will deny saying you can do that at the reception but when you land in there they say it’s all overbooked (a walk to the spa made me realise that the spa was not only free but was locked because some staff were having an extended lunch and after creating a scene a slot magically opened up) and the Manager, Mr Jyothish Vasu is a sweet talker - I must say he impressed me quite a bit with taking ownership of the poor reception behaviour. However be prepared to get dubious bills from the property. The amount you pay and the amount of the bill they raise on you is not the same - there is a huge gap. When asked why is it so - they ask you to politely leave saying they will figure it out as to why this difference shows and will courier the bills to You. Don't FALL FOR THAT PLOY! It’s been 8 days and I am still waiting for my invoice and the property dodges your calls to no extent. All my GST credit is lying with them while they cheat customers like this . . The food is the same every day and there is no option of a-la-carte - gets frustrating after 2-3 meals and we wanted to venture out. The resort has nothing much to do apart from some outdoor activities which they tell you nothing about - luckily we kept probing so we got to know. Paying 35k for two nights per cottage + incidentals really made me knock my head on the wall thinking that I might as well could have stayed at a premium hotel chain for those prices and had the remarkable service and experience rather than break my head with such step motherly treatment at Kurumba !!

  • Total wastage & bored

This resort is not Ooty. Coornoor & coimbitore in between. Hot temperature than Ooty. Swimming pool is closed due to rain. Food is good. No outdoor activities like no cricket area to play can't allowed to go nearby or outside resort. Nothing to do their total bored & waste our money. Holiday is not for eating. Also their spa are their are holes in the gate. Lot of power cut.

Places is currently under renovation, the cost is way to high for the property .. On lesser price you can look at properties in Ooty Taj is lesser price than this property
