To begin with, "Garva" stands for Gavatil Ramya Vatavaran which translates to "the peaceful environment of a village" and indeed it is peaceful. This place is in Abloli about 25 kms from Guhagar and roughly 45 kms from Chiplun. Ganapatipule is roughly 50 kms from this place.
The place has a village like cottage with four rooms. Each room can accommodate 4 persons and has an attached toilet/bathroom. The room is neat, clean and cool. The one we got had that rustic floor feel.
The cottage is in the lap of nature. It is completely surrounded by plants and trees. The owner Sachin Karekar is a nice, friendly person. He and his family run the whole show here and hence you get the homely feel. We could also be with him at the cowshed when he was milking the cow. There was one more family staying which had come for bird watching. Mr. Sachin leads you to spots where birds can be seen. Thats another attraction. We were personally not a part of it though. Food was home cooked and tasted nice. We had fish fry and curry for dinner. Thalipeeth for breakfast was nice. Food definitely has a feel of home cook to it.
Recommended once to get away from the hustle & bustle of our daily lives. If you want to enjoy a calm, peaceful stay, this is the place.

This is a nice place situated at village Abloli which is approx, 25 km from Guhagar. Quite a few places of tourist interest are located nearby such as Velneshwar (lord Shiva temple & beach) approx 30 km, Hedvi (old Ganesh Temple) approx 25 km, Ganapatipule approx 52 km by road or approx 38 km by road + Ferry (even your car is on ferry), Guhagar beach approx 25 km, and many more places located nearby.
Now about the place. It's a roughly 8 acres property having 4 self contained clean rooms to stay. A big common hall for food as well as to carry out some entertainment activities. Rest all area has plantations like betel nuts, jackfruits, coconuts, chikoo, mango to name few. They have planted few plants like coffee as well. Overall, the place has lots of greenery keeping it cool throughout the year.
This greenery attracts lots of species of birds. It's a treat for bird watchers. Apart from greenery they set up for other adventure games such as rope climbing, flying fox, commando training, rifle shooting etc. Such facilities coupled with few swings and Hammocks makes it entertaining for kids as well as adults. They have a small swimming pool with fresh water.
The owner of the property Mr. Sachin Karekar is nature lover himself and can take you out for the nature trail, trekking and bird watching if you are interested. When you do so many activities definitely you will feel hungry. They serve homely food which is very hygienic and tasty. They serve veg as well as non-veg food. On request they also arrange for outdoor barbecue for you.
Now about the rooms. They have 4 self contained rooms. The rooms as well as toilets are kept clean. The rooms are non-AC but you really don't need it. It doesn't have TV but it turned out to be boon in disguise. So no five star facilities but overall, clean and hygienic. You can visit here through out the year and enjoy different experiences / specialties of the season.
They keep on improvising the property continuously. They informed us that they are going offer free Wi-Fi to guests very soon. Overall, it was one of the best stays I ever had. Excellent.

The place is fantastic and is surrounded by trees. The owner is cooperative, attentive, and caring. He arranged small treks anybody can do it. For youngsters it is extended, if they wish. Food and drinks, especially solkadhi, kokum is fantastic. The place is full of birds and trees. Swimming pool is good one. The water they provide is clean and cold, which is coming from mountains. One must visit this place again and again.
