  • Terrible experience at Barzman....

    We stayed for 4 days in this hotel from 19-7-2018 to 22-7-2018 and our experience is very very bad with the facilities provided by the hotel. 1.Hot water was provided only at 5 AM for Half an hour but other times no hot water provided inspite of repeated requests but the hotel brochure declares 24 X 7 hot water supply. 2. No ceiling fans in the rooms. 3. Frequent shut down of power supply and there is no back up power. Power supply is of low voltage and lights are dim. 4. Bolts not proper for doors and windows 5. Staff is not responding to customer problems properly and not courteous.

    Superb experience, pleasant stay, excellent staff, hot water was not available 24/7. It was soo cold at night and we checked in at night, other than that, excellent hotel and its view. If anyone wants to stay in Sonmarg please book this hotel.

    The rooms were clean, the location was close to the market in a scenic area. The only thing you don't have is an electric kettle but the give hot water whenever you ask. For bathing they gysers on the ground floor and for other floors they provide with a bucket of hot water. We went in off season so maybe it was an exception and they have hot water all the time in all the floors.

    Pros: Excellent location Cons: No standby/power backup facility - When we reached this hotel, there was no electricity in the room. I was informed that it would be back in an hour. But, it was in the same condition when we returned back after the excursion. As it was unbearably cold during the night at Sonamarg, I asked to start Generator. However, I was informed that the Generator is out of order. Poor Service: We were the only occupants during our stay in this hotel. The staff were very slow to respond to any of the requirements. Judgement: Better avoid this hotel.
