It was an amazing experience. Rooms were very clean and spacious and staff was also very polite. The view from the rooms was amazing. Overall the stay was worth experiencing. The road to get to the hotel was bit narrow and tricky but manageable. Night-travel to the hotel should be avoided.

Very good and peaceful location just below the hills. It is a good place to relax. The parking was away and bit disconnected in case of any emergencies at night, however during the day drop vehicle was always available. Hotel needs intercom facility and reduction in food prices.
Not for Value for Money

The rock hotel was a good experience location is good. Food is very expensive and taste is below average. They don't allow cooking. Room is good but in Rain is leaking. The pictures shown is different from reality. Hospitality is good. If you travelling in group you can enjoy in your cottage.

Place is very good and value for money. The connecting roads for a km is very bad. Need to go by jeep or else bike. Over all 8 out of 10.
The food prices are like 5 star prices where curd rice will be 140 bucks. It's better to carry alcohol also.
It's one of the best hotels secluded from society. Highly recommended for people who want some peace and quiet with good food. The activities and the surrounding make it a perfect place for relaxing photography or a good game of "jungle" cricket with a group.

The resort is at great location and make you feel close to nature. We stayed at sliver queen suite and it was neat and clean. The food at resort is one of the highlight, lunch, breakfast and dinner buffet were very tasty and all the items were good especially the non-veg items for lunch and dinner. I think it is best enjoyed for the climate and location. The staff were polite and helpful. Visit to Mudumalai Natural Park, Jeep safari through the forest and elephant camp are the activities generally not missed. Overall a good place to take break from city life and enjoy Mother Nature.

The trip was an impulse travel and hence we could not book for any accommodation in advance. We had reached Masinagudi by evening and had roamed around few places hunting for a reasonable accommodation. There are places in Masinagudi with exorbitant charges ranging up to Rs. 16, 000 per day including food. Finally we found this place De Rock. The location is not so prominent that you would easily find it. But once we reached we loved everything about the place. If you are a jungle lover, this is the place to stay because the cottages are located in close proximity to the forest. You can wake up to birds chirping, can sight deer and other animals if you take brief walk. Being south Indians we loved the breakfast served. All staff and service was excellent.
Since we had gone without any advance reservation, we had to end up taking a cottage for Rs. 8000/- which accommodated six of us although later on we found that there were much cheaper cottages lying vacant.
Best place for relaxation

My 6 friends and I planned for a vacation for 2 days to some hill places and finally we decided to go with De Rock. A good place for all kind of people who seek relaxation of mind.
A place where you forget yourself and stitch to nature.
It is a centralised location between Mudumalai zoo and river where we went for fishing.
