According, to me its the best place to stay in fort kochi..Sir Robert suite is the best sea facing suite among all, view is just mesmerising with a very comfortable stay, staffs are well behaved and very friendly. I stayed there for two days and moved to Taj Malabar for last day but I must say that I found it better than Taj Malabar. Rooms are spacious and heritage feeling is everywhere. Fort Kochi beach is next to the hotel and its in the centre of Fort Kochi from where you can approach any part of Fort Kochi easily, altogether awesome stay.

Great breakfast spread, Lotta Indian delicacies. All tasty and delicious. Service at the restaurant was brilliant. Check in was a breeze, as was check out. My room was a corner room with a narrow view of the bay. It was spacious and overall the hotel is very well maintained. The place was not 100% occupied and I wish they had given me a room with a full view of the bay.
Location: Offering views of the backwaters and Cochin Harbour, the Gateway Hotel Marine Drive is a 5-star property within walkin
Location is good and staff is friendly but this is clearly catering to non Indian tourists. Breakfast menu is very limited and only one Indian item was served. Doesn't have a liquor license so you need to purchase from outside and consume only in the room. Common areas are out of bounds for alcohol consumption. Dal roti restaurant and Fabindia outlet are adjacent to the hotel and both good options.
