Location is very good. It is situated deep in the arabica coffee estate. You could drive your car till the location. Its very good in when its drizzling outside. They have maintained good garden outside. Even some films shootings are also carried out Rooms are pretty good but not romantic enough. Its better to call and negotiate for good room I think its mandatory to opt for food there, if you don't want then call them and calrify before hand. But there are not good restaurants outside though
It was a holiday trip with friends in the month of September, I had booked online. The overall it was very good. The destination was excellent nice view and atmosphere, good service, nice rooms. The hotel was located in a nice surrounding, peaceful. The appearance was nice with open area in the front of the hotel for games, We stayed in a dormitory type and it was spacious, food was very good, complimentary breakfast was provided and it was very tasty. Hotel provided games like shuttle and volley ball, other facilities we didn't check. I would recommend this hotel to upcoming travellers.

Planned to have a relaxed family outing. Food was very good and lot of options are there for breakfast and dinner. Bonfire is nicely arranged. The compound was big enough with some sports facilities. The resort also has their own land which can be explored. The location of the resort is little inside and pakka roads are not there to commute from the main road. However the hotel staff can be communicated and can be easily traced.

This is a very lovely place to stay. The owners are very nice and helpful. From the main city it's about 15 kms. Lovely stretch to this place. In between don't forget to stop for a coffee break at a lovely joint. If from Bangalore try to drive early morning to enjoy the nature. When you reach here you just feel like relaxing. May be you can go up-to bhadra forest or just chill out at the home stay and enjoy the accommodation. Play some games in their. They have lovely spacious rooms. Reasonable price. Please visit to experience the stay.

We stayed in Chandramukha Homestay for 3 nights during the monsoons in Aug 2014. From the moment we entered the home-stay till our exit every minute spent at the resort was just brilliant. Mr. Dayanand the owner of the homestay has taken special interest in ensuring utmost care to all their guests and facilities inside the home stay. We were a group of 4 people and stayed in a large room meant for 8 people with 2 attached baths, each of which had a different theme for girls (pink) and boys (blue). Yes detailed to that extent, the homestay is actually nothing short of a mini resort and it completely changed my idea of a homestay.
Talking about the food which was absolutely sumptuous in all the meals, they even went to the extent of serving of copious portions of starters in the evening we ended up skipping dinner. All the meals were exceptionally well made, they helping staff were prompt even during incessant rains which kept pouring all through our stay in Chikmagalur. Mr. Dayanand who actually stays there with his family arranged visits to the nearby sightseeing areas as well as river rafting where we even got a discount of Rs 100 per head :)
Activities within the homestay are limited but travellers can go for short walks around a lovely lake just behind the home-stay. Overall it was a wonderful experience and would love to go back there with friends and family.
Word of caution - Carry some light woollens during monsoons as it tends to get cold in the nights and rain coats for protection from the incessant rains.

A wonderful HomeStay with great hospitality and location amazed us during our visit to Chikmagalur visit during 2014. We had a hard time to find a perfect place to stay in Chikmagalur at an affordable price. We didn't expect the Home Stay to be so good after a long drive from Bangalore and we were surprised to see that they were eagerly waiting for us till midnight. The owner Mr. Dayanand and his staff Ganesh were incredibly helpful and they delivered the service as offered at the time of booking. The food was amazing and it was just like home made food. The location of the home stay was kind of remote but almost every home stay in chickmagalur is situated in remote locations. The campfire night was nice with good quality snacks and music. We didn't have much idea about about the places to visit but Mr. Dayanand guided us a lot. We really feet as home during our 2 night visit to Chikmagalur. I will highly recommend this home stay as it is affordable & offers all the amenities as others do.
