We were expecting something much nicer and more upscale given the price. The staff are nice but the place is poorly maintained (painting coming off, humidity everywhere, very simple room, badly-lit restaurant). Food was average too. Overall not value for money (at all).
The hotel is located in a small farming village. On arrival we were greeted very friendly and headed to our suite, which was on the top floor with a big bathroom and hot tub. The premises consisted of a bedroom, separate seating area and spacious bathroom. From the courtyard could be reached by a staircase to a roof terrace which allowed a wide view over the village and the countryside. From there, the sunset view was fantastic. The hotel manager took us through the entire system and explained the history of the havelis. The building and the garden are very well maintained. The spacious pool area features a modern mesh chairs to relax and the pool is huge. Before dinner there was a little music and dance performance by a local family from the village. The food was very good and the service also. It is the way only about 30 minutes away from a Bird Sanctuary, which is well worth a visit.
