The star of the Resort is it's pristine location. You get an awesome view of the tea estates and mountains from the Resort. You will not hear any traffic noise or any noise for that matter. The only things which you will hear are songs of birds. You can walk down the attached Tata tea estate and get a glorious view of Attukad waterfalls. The Resort itself is pretty small but you have plenty of space to walk near the Resort. The next best thing in the resort is the food. Though they don't have a running kitchen but you have a variety of dishes to choose from, ranging from South Indian to North Indian. You just have to let them know a couple of hours before but the food is very tasty. Especially the Idlis and the kerala biryani were best and the next award goes to their hospitality. They have very few people, just a manager and a couple of kitchen and housekeeping staff. They do their work very efficiently and always with a smile on their face. They are very polite and prompt. A special mention to Mr. Babito who is the manager. He is very helpful and is available round the clock for any assistance. I chose a deluxe room which had a very good view, but is pretty small even for a couple. Though the bathroom is of decent size. The room doesn't have much to offer apart from a TV, no chairs, tables, table lamps, coffee maker etc. The bed is also sufficient just for 2 people. There is a small sit out just outside the room, where they have put two chairs. you cannot fit a table there. I would expect a slight bigger sit out to fit a table also, so that we can enjoy tea and snacks there, having a nice view of the mountains nevertheless, the view from just outside the room compensates for all of this. The approach road to the resort is a bit of challenge. They have 2 routes, one of which is extremely steep, close to 60 degrees and the other one is not steep but very rocky. It is suggested to take the former road while leaving and the latter while entering the resort. Overall it is a very nice resort or rather I should call it as a guest house. You need to stay in this kind of place to have a real feel of hill station, instead of staying in the town which is very crowded and polluted.

It was a pleasant stay. The service was very good with the staffs being the most valuable assets of the resort. The room was neat and had a vintage look. The room was well furnished and situated in the midst of forest, with the birds and the climate adding beauty to the place. The toilet was very clean and the room consumables like soap shampoo etc were satisfactory. We enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend the same for any family/couples except for the roads, as it was quite difficult to reach the resort.

I have not been in Kerala long but I'll compare this to my other average hotel stay in Kochi. Relatively clean rooms. It would be nice to smell some bleach every once in a while in the bathrooms and on the linens but I think this is a bit much to ask for an average hotel in India. View is pretty good, shows Hills but no tea plantations. Service was in that uncomfortably overbearing Indian style. No WiFi the entire time I was there. Could not pay for my meals at the end with my credit card because of network problems. Barely any network service, I tried Airtel and my Verizon roaming through Vodafone, wall sockets were not secure could not plug in laptop charger since it would fall out. My room overlooked the road and had a nice balcony. Unfortunately this balcony was not sealed, and this paired with the large single panes window allowed every sound through. The diesel truck idling at 10 pm. The chattering outside the entrance at all hours of the day. The squeal of some industrial machine. This also means bugs can and do, fly through these gaps in the windows. Food tasted alright but gave me as an american some serious stomach problems. Delhi belly, as you will. Soap was very harsh. Bed is hard. I didn't mind but some people might. Overall I understand many of these things are just me being a spoiled american but at the same time the other average hotel I stayed at in Kerala had none of these problems.

We stayed in the cirrus cottage overlooking the beautiful Valley And mountains. The view was excellent. The entire property was very well managed, clean And peaceful. The bathroom was very well maintained too. We had a jacuzzi, Bath robes, slippers And two sinks provided. Running hot water was always available We were constantly helped by the very friendly staff, especially robin at the reception And Ravi at the restaurant. The food was good. They have a golf buggy that takes you to the rooms And it was always available whenever we called for it. We used the Spa as well, the session was relaxing And the staff were professional. They constantly checked if we were comfortable And relaxed. This was followed by a sauna. We would definitely recommend this place as they really care about the guest experience. They are as authentic as the black berries that grow on the property. Yes, there are actual Blackberry trees on the property.
