Just few metres from Gold Souk
First thing its difficult to find this hotel as it is located on the walking pavement not a main road so ask your taxi driver to go slowly and ask locals for it when necessary.
I had a family room with a private bathroom inside, but smaller rooms may have bathrooms outside.
American breakfast buffet style was included in price and was good.
It was good location for us before cruise, 15 min by taxi and few dollars.

friendly service but dirty roo....
We were staying there for some nights and the staff was really friendly and they did everything to help us, guide us and they were always smiling.
BUT: the rooms were not clean (as for a european standard). There was hair in the beds and also the bed sheets were not clean enough.
The brekfast was also not the best but for this price it is ok. If you need only a bed to sleep, try this hotel.
It is near the metro station Al Ras and the gold souk and the spice souk.

Poor service and facilitiies
It’s a classic example of you are getting what you are paying for. Cheap to be Dubai but really one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at.
The good things are it’s great location close to metro and boat and that it’s actually clean. Otherwise old rooms with no comfort, terrible breakfast, receptionist who don’t care much about you, absolutely unpleasant place to be. I would never book it again.

I know it´s Dubai but for what we paid here, we get room in Hilton in our country. The only good thing is that it´s close to the metro and few nice arabic eateries. Otherwise the bathroom was really not nice. The shower curtain was too short so after each shower there was a pond and the toilet was leaking. We were awaken in the middle of the night because the so called "airconditioning unit" or more likely the hole on the top of the wall started to blow cold air mixed with cigarrete smoke directly to our faces. Breakfast was nothing special, I didn´t really want to eat anything there. However, the staff at the reception was nice and friendly.

Backpacking or budget?
If you travel to Dubai on low sleeping-budget this is the place. Near the metro (but you Will use some time and money to travel to all the known places). There's alot of different cultures living here , so as a Girl travelling without a man, you will get some looks.
The hotel is ok. Old but clean. The wifi is not the best, but you will survive. The staff are ok. Its security here.
The breakfast is not so good. Few options.
