Descent place to rest in the c....
We stayed here for 9 nights in room 502, and we enjoyed our stay. The front desk tried to keep our passport with the excuse of not having a working printer, I refused. I offered my US drivers license and they refused so I insisted he made copy of my passport and give it back immediately. It turned out they had a working printer all along. I got my passport back.
We had a small kitchen with basic amenities like washing machine but no dryer. There's a cloth hanger in the closet where you can spread your clothes. There's free internet and no few kitchen utensils. You have to ask for everything from the staffs. The gas doesn't heat so well but I loved that we stayed at the top floor to avoid noise. It's cheaper to cook than eat out. You won't find a lot of fancy and delicious eats here so just prepare what you like and save money. It is located in the city center, a stone throw away from the mosque and Crown Plaza. There's Lulu's supermarket similar to Walmart with fruits and vegetables, inside the plaza, and a farmer's fish and vegetable market for fresh produce right across the hotel.
The only thing I didn't like so much was the call to prayer that aired 5 times a day from sunrise to sunset. It wasn't always at the same time everyday...lol! I got used to it but if you are a light sleeper then you won't sleep a day here.
The windows in the kitchen doesn't open. I don't know about other rooms but ours was sealed which made it hard for steam to escape while cooking. Like I said, it's a decent place to stay while on a budget, it's safe and clean and the room cleaners are cheerful. I remember the older guy (maybe Abdul) and a good looking younger one both from India. There's a lady too and she's nice, maybe from the Philippines.
The hotel is accessible to public and private transport to anywhere in the city so you'll definitely enjoy your stay. Be sure to visit the Emirates Palace! It's about 15 mins from the hotel by Taxi!

Terrible customer service. Especially the receptionist, they are rude and unkind seems to be angry all the times, they will never greet you they will just looked at you with a terrible face. I hope for the management they will do something about it. For me I had a bad experience with the receptionist.

I checked in in early hours in the morning. I was welcomed by a the counter service person. After a quick check in I was allowed to sleep in my room. As I am tired and 9 hours of flying I slept off. In the morning, I telephoned to the counter and asked about my passport and the lady who was very polite responded that my passports are held by the jhotel and upon leaving we will return it to you. Towels are clean and white. Toothbrush was supplied along with shaver. There is a kitchen and we asked for a kettle to boil water and we got it. Room is very spacious and the bathroom too. When I removed the curtain I can see the whole range of shops selling everything. In the 6th floor is the restaurant which was privatised. So you have to pay what ever you eat. But I prefer to go out in the streets and eat some foods there. The counter girl, who was Filippino was very pleasant and well mannered. .All the staffs in this hotel speaks good English.
