Book a room away from the stre....
The ‘comfort double’ rooms are anything but. They are super noisy because they are all on the street / tramlines side of the hotel. Some of the worst insulation I ever experienced (and I travel a lot). Be sure to not get caught out (like I did...). The hotel reception will courteously decline a room change / upgrade and offer you earplugs instead. The rooms don’t have air con, just fans. Pass and book another hotel, slightly more expensive but without these issues.

Wonderful base of operations f....
This is a modern, clean, nicely decorated boutique hotel with a marvelous staff, agreeable accommodations, and a great location. (It's very conveniently located on the #10 tram line, so that it can be reached quickly and cheaply from either the train station or the airport.) I spent a long weekend in Zurich with friends and each morning we just bought the cheapest "short hop" tram ticket (2.70 Swiss francs) at the nearby Winkelriedstrasse stop and rode the modern, efficient tram down to the Old Town for the day. The buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant is a fine option, but there's also a bakery and a Coop store on the same block with marvelous baked goods. There's a coffee maker and a small fridge in each room, so buying pastries and making coffee worked perfectly for me. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and serviced efficiently. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The room had a nice balcony overlooking the neighborhood and I had breakfast out there when the weather was warm enough. The bells at a nearby church rang every 15 minutes throughout the day and night, but I learned about this online before my trip and I brought earplugs. I used them the first night, but I found that with the window closed, the bells really didn't keep me awake, so I actually didn't need them. But if this might be a concern for you, I'd just encourage you to bring earplugs. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and professional, and they all speak English in case you don't know German. The cord for the blow dryer in my bathroom snapped, exposing a live wire that actually gave me a small shock when I accidentally touched it. I told the front desk about this and they had it fixed immediately. They were also very helpful with dinner recommendations and reservations. In general you could always count on them to be friendly and cheerful whenever you went through the lobby. The price was excellent for the value and location. Because I booked well in advance and joined the Leonardo loyalty club, my room came to about $150/night in U.S. dollars. I don't think you'd find a better value anywhere else in Zurich. The only reason I haven't given five stars is that one of the two elevators wasn't working and it had a sign on it the whole time I was there that said, "Sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on it." Also, the printer in the business center wasn't connecting with the computer and so I couldn't print out my boarding pass and had to take care of that at the airport. But these are only very minor things that really don't take anything away from a marvelous stay. I would definitely stay there again any time I was in Zurich.

Small boutique hotel in Zurich....
This happens to be a small boutique hotel - not very far off from Zurich HB station.
The rooms are pretty small & so also the bath rooms.
The entire hotel is non smoking. The beds given are queen size & hence it’s little bit struggle for a couple to sleep.
But the front office staff are very helpful & ready to assist with a smiling face.

Six nights in Zurich
Excellent service and attention from staff at Leonardo as we Canadians discovered Zurich.
Being seniors, Fabienne explained the trams (steep hill) through the university area which helped a lot.
She also opened her computer to us so that we could find the Opera house (Opernhaus) and a wonderful
ballet. We booked a city tour --many churches with clocktowers (and Quasimodo ringing the bells on the
hour). The restaurants are great and the breakfast at Leonardo is the best on our total tour. The square and the swans on the lake were delightful to observe, complete with alpenhorn demo. A wonderful week.

Very Pleasant Stay
I stayed for 4 nights. The location is excellent for transport links to the City centre and the airport.
My room was at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. Reasonable price for Zürich. I did not eat at the restaurant as I was visiting family. Cleaning and servicing of the room was was first rate. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful.
For a mid range hotel - highly recommended.
