Great place to stay
We stayed there in June, 2013 I think it was and loved the place - had a small kitchenette and staff were great. In Switzerland you can use the Coops - in Zurich it is diagonally opposite and up a bit where the trams go from - we had a meal at a restaurant for $72. Ate almost every meal there - they have proper fresh meals - for less than that over 4 days. It it up the hill from the train station. There is a tram but how luggage goes on that in crowded times may be questionable. We did the walk and in our 60's.

budget property for expensive ....
Excellent location as it is right next to tram station and zurich hb and station. Coop chain is nearby for all your needs. Rooms were clean but since there is no fan in room it may become suffocated sometimes. But windows and table fan is there to help you. Tiny kitchen has everything that you need to cook your meals. There is one lady in the apartment that takes care of cleaning so you need to call her when you need cleaning in the room. Overall pleasant stay if you do have to spend less time in the room.

Cheap rooms available via Airb....
This is no longer a hotel but long term studio stays. There is no receptionist or eating facilities. I don't believe this hotel is listed on any booking sites but we booked via Airbnb and got a double room with kitchenette for about £45 a night. Bargain!
The room was a decent size but the bathroom was past its prime and was a bit old/grimy. Still, for this level of price and within 5 minutes walk of the main station, you can't complain. Noisy rooms though as road/trams run right outside.

'Refurbished' but no air con
Stayed at this hotel on business. Just reopened the day before having undergone a refurb. So clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast nice. The only downside is that the rooms at the back of the hotel have no air conditioning and it was unbearable at night time. I had both my window and patio door wide open and found it impossible to sleep. I was travelling with a party of around 20 and those at the front of the hotel had aircon. Bizarre. Very convenient for the train station. I thought it was very expensive for the level of hotel at around £210 per night.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and basically the room was quite small overall. The bathroom was also very small and congested. And the bed was also very basic.
The location of the hotel was very central though. The main attraction and the shops are 5 mins walk from the hotel. So it's quite centrally located.
Included Breakfast was also good.
