Pretty the best price for the ....
The accommodation is simple but clean and pretty well located (close to main train station and very close to the tram stops so you can be in 10mins in the inner centre).
It is a "self check-in" hotel so in case you just need a place to sleep with no additional communication nor breakfast and other services, that is it.

No-reception hotel, be attenti....
I never used hotel with self-check-in, so I was kinda surprised, when I arrived and there was no one there to help me. I decided to call them and there was a recorded voice and no possibility to contact a real person (in case of emergency or in case like mine). I understood that I have to use the code, but to generate it I had to register online. And I could not do it because I had no wifi access. Had to go to the restaurant to get some wifi and get the code. When I came to the machines there was a woman who could not get the key. She tried to call the owners, but no success. I tried and failed, too. Only few minutes later I realized that I have to try other machine and succeeded (had to advise this to this lady).
The room wasn't big. There was a small fridge, which didn't work properly. The iron curtain on the balcony was broken and I couldn't lift her to get some light or to go to the balcony. But the bed was comfortable.
There are some supermarkets and a tram stop nearby (but since there is no one to contact I had to find it out by myself), some brochure and a map in the room would be very handy.
I could recommend this accomodation for a short stay.

So much better than I expected....
I have to be honest, I booked this as it was very well priced for one of the Top 3 Most Expensive Countries on Earth (Norway being number 1, for what it's worth). The location was not bad either, and once I confirmed it was relatively easy to access by tram or foot (not that I walked in the end) I booked. I wasn't convinced it would be a good stay, having had less than amazing experiences in Europe.
Getting here is nice and easy, about a 15 minute journey on tram line 3 from Bahnhofplatz HB. Top tip, to find it easily exit Zurich HB on the low-numbered platform side and not the main entrance. A single journey costs 4,40CHF (approximately £2.60, so not much more than London for the length of journey, as of October 2017). Be warned, the ticket machines do not take notes. They do, however, accept UK cards happily. A 24 hour Zone 110 ticket costs 8,80CHF as of October 2017 and represented good value to me. For my fellow UK-based travellers, think of that as a Zones 1-2 ticket in London for approximate area of coverage. It is slightly confusing which road crossing you need out of about 8 at Albisriederplatz, once off the tram cross straight over and across to the right, then you're almost right by the main entrance.
Upon arrival, you need to go to the keyboxes on the rear of the building, access via the passageway between the building and the Ford garage. There's two boxes there, one of which wouldn't accept the code you get when you fill in the arrival form emailed to you after booking. Thankfully the other one did, and there are English as well as German instructions. Type in the code and the flap opens for you to remove your key.
The key works both the front door and the door to the room. I had room 8 on the ground floor, and I was immediately blown away by how big the room was. There is a TV in there which I didn't use. No tea/coffee or kettle, as is standard in mainland Europe. The bathrom was a good size and the shower very good too.
The bed was surprisingly comfortable, unusual but a pleasant surprise in my European experience. The whole room and the building in general was very clean and tidy, and I would happily stay again and will recommend to others.

Budget apartment easy access f....
One night stay returning from Bernese Oberland, very clean with lifts, only 100 metres from tram stop. Overlooking main road so noisy at night as windows needed open due to 36 degrees. Fridge & nice very clean bathroom.
Trying to access WiFi was torturous - gave up.

Nice and cozy hotel
Me and my wife stayed in this hotel early May 2017. This is my review of the hotel -
- Near Zurich HB (Train station)
- Decent size room and bathroom.
- Clean hotel
- Near grocery store (around 2 to 3-minute walk)
- Good wi-fi connection
- There's 1 English news channel on the hotel's cable TV
- Near train stop going to the central part of the city
- Easy pick-up and return of keys at the back of the hotel (be ready with your booking number upon initial check-in to get your room key)
- Our room is on the ground floor. The window is at head-level of people walking in front of the hotel. Thus, we were forced to close the window in our room.
- No front desk reception. Be ready with your mobile roaming service to call hotel personnel in case you have questions.
- Upon getting your key at the back, it does not specifically say which floor your room is. I still have to ask another guest about it.
Will I come back if there's a chance? Yes, I'll come back. Because that it's 1 train ride away from the train station.
